Smokehead 5

Commissioned by a fellow guitarist, this guitar was made from another of my daughter's old paintboxes.  The neck was recycled and the headstock re-designed, converting the neck from standard 6 strings to a "cigar-box" 4.  The paint is Ford Tango Red Metallic, finished with a clear lacquer.  Resonator grilles were added to allow the guitar to be played acoustically whilst also minimising feedback when fired up through an amplifier.
